So many in our community face challenges daily while still doing their best to take care of those around them. Now it’s our turn to take care of them.
To do this, we need your help.

Who Can Be Nominated?
Anyone in the Central Alberta region who selflessly serves others, or needs a helping hand is a great candidate!
For example, community leaders like teachers, firefighters, health care workers or community volunteers. Or, a family who’s fallen on hard times, a senior citizen living in an older home or someone impacted by natural disaster.

Eligibility Requirements
In order to be considered a candidate, nominees must meet the following criteria. Final decision is at the sole discretion of the selection committee designated by Bruin’s Plumbing & Heating Ltd.
- Employees of Bruin’s Plumbing & Heating and their immediate families are not eligible for nomination.
- Employees of all other participating sponsors and their immediate families are not eligible for nomination.
- The successful candidate must own the home in which the furnace is to be installed.
- The successful candidate must reside in the home in which the furnace is installed.
- The home must be within 50km of Red Deer.
- The home must currently be heated by a ducted (forced air) heating system.
- Installation will include all parts & labour required to connect the replacement furnace to the existing ductwork.
- No additional equipment such as humidifiers, electronic air cleaners, UVC/UVV germicidal/oxidizing systems or air conditioners will be included.
- The successful candidate must be available for installation between May 20th & May 30th 2025 (excluding weekends & holidays).
- The successful candidate will be asked to take part in video & social media promotion of the installation. Participation is not considered a requirement for selection.

We are incredibly happy to have had the privilege of upgrading the furnace for Merle and her children. The past few years have been especially challenging for her family, and we’re honoured to have played a small role in alleviating some of her stress. We hope this winter brings warmth and comfort to Merle and her family.
